We have so much to be thankful for. The last two Wednesday night youth meetings have had a great turnout. We had over 30 people with the youth for two weeks straight. The Lord has blessed us and we are very and I mean very close to filling our bus completely.
And the best thing, the Lord is still in the saving business. We have been fortunate and blessed to see the salvation of two of our youths in the last few weeks. And for the second Sunday night in a row we will be have a baptism.
The Lord is So Good!!!!
God Bless,

This Friday our church will be hosting this months Baptist Fellowship meeting, and I would like to invite everyone out. Bro. Randy Campbell will be preaching and our choir will be singing. After the service there will be food and fellowship in the activity building. I want to encourage our church to come out and expect a blessing, and I’m sure that you will receive one. The Lord has really manifest Himself in our services of late, and I believe if we just keep the main thing the main thing, which is uplifting the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will continue to experience the mighty presence of God in our services.
Bring someone with you this Friday December 14th at 7:30pm, coming expecting a blessing. God Bless You,
Pastor Greg

The Lord has really blessed my family and me. The Lord has opened a door to teach young preachers on Thursday nights at a Satellite school for Macedonia Bible College. I have went two weeks, and taught my first the Thursday before Thanksgiving. I really thank the Lord for these young men that are preparing to do the will of the Lord in their lives. Please pray for this school and those young men. If anyone is interested in learning more about the school, please contact me, and I will point you in the right direction.
God Bless, until next time!

There is a myth that Wednesday night prayer meeting and Bible study can’t be “good spirtual” services. But Praise the Lord; we had a great time in the Lord last night. It was wonderful to hear many testimonies from the people of God, telling of how great He has been to them. I was so blessed by the service that I may have preached a little, instead of just teaching!
One thing that blessed my soul was to hear that a young man that has been coming to our Youth service on Wednesday nights was led to the Lord by two of our teens over the weekend. Praise God for our youth. Another great surprise was we had a first time visitor in our service.
Thanks to a dear lady in church, who gave me a full pound bag of whole cashews, I had a good snack before retiring to bed.
Invite some one to church this Sunday!
God Bless,

I’m sure that I can speak for all the church in saying that Brother Shannon Skeens has been a great blessing to our church. Each message that he has brought from the Word of God was if it had been written specifically for us. We have felt the power of God in each night’s service with a great alter service each night. My prayer is that we as a body of believers in the Lord Jesus, will be revived, and better equipped that we may reach our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you have not attended a service yet, may I encourage you to attend; we only have two more nights.
Tonight there will be special singing from a group from Grace Gospel Baptist church (Bro. Skeen’s church). Tomorrow we will have Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Choir. We have had excellent singing all week, and we are looking forward to more of the same.
I want to say a thank you to those that worked on our church obtaining a new church marquee. Praise the Lord for you. You did a wonderful job in picking it out and it looks great. Not only does it look great but also it will allow us to make the community more aware of what is going on at Lens Creek Missionary Baptist Church. I have pictures of the sign, along with some other pictures, and I will be posting them soon on the main website.
Praise the Lord!!

We had a great service both yesterday morning (some missed out!!), as well as in the evening service (some missed this one too!!). Praise God, for all His wonderful blessings that He bestows on us. God has been so good to me. This past week my family was in a near accident that could have brought serious injury or even death. A loaded coal truck did not see my wife and kids waiting to make a left hand turn, and almost crashed into the back of them. Instead the coal truck crashed to the right of them and turned over and lost its load. Praise the Lord no one was injured. Thank God He was watching after my family, and said ”Not today”. He is our Shelter and our Refuge.
I’m so looking forward to the revival meeting starting tonight. We will see true Revival from God when as I preached Sun night, we get our Priorities Established, Power is Desired, and Praise is Promised. The sad truth is some missed the great service we had Sunday night, because their Priorities are not Established, in other words, God is not first in their lives. There will be no Power of God in the Christians life, or in the Church, until Christians get their Priorities strait. We need to Seek Him!
Tonight we have a great singer in Jimmie McKnight, and of course we will hear a great message from the Word of God brought by Bro Skeens. Please make plans to attend; I’m sure that God will bless you.
God Bless,

We had a great service this past Sunday. The Lord so graciously blessed us with a visit from the Tomas Family, who are missionaries to their homeland the Philippines. What a testimony this great man of God had. As a former Catholic, raised in the Catholic Church, Bro Milo never learned that Jesus loved Him. How sad it is when many, and I do mean many practice man’s religion and never know the Love of Christ.
Bro Milo left us with envelopes to send back to help with the project to build a church in the Philippines. Those envelopes, for those wanting to donate will be collect by the church and one check from the church will be sent. So if you want to give, please place you donation in the envelope and place it in the regular offering plate. Not only was Sunday Morning a great time, but Sunday night was also a great time. Anytime someone gets Baptized it is a great time church. Please pray for Sister Carla and make her feel welcome as a new member of Lens Creek Baptist.
Revival is next week; pray that the Lord starts the Revival fire in your own heart. We have an excellent preacher of the Gospel scheduled with Bro. Shannon Skeens, and there will be special singing each night. Jimmie McKnight is scheduled to sing Monday night. The Swor Family is scheduled to sing Tuesday night. The Lens Creek Missionary Baptist Choir will sing Wednesday night. Thursday will be announced shortly and Friday night the Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Choir will be singing. Until next time! This week our church is gearing up for Vacation Bible School. During this week we hope to visit many houses in the neighborhood to invite children that other wise don’t go anywhere to church. This year I have been elected to teach the Bible lesson each night, so I’m looking forward to that. Anytime that I get a chance to share the Word of God with others I get excited.
This Saturday June 23 we are having a Bible School Kickoff at the church. There will be food, fun, and fire engine!! God has blessed us with a fire engine from a local fire department. Children will get to meet real firemen and climb aboard a real fire engine. Also I will be placed in a dunking both for a game of “Dunk the Pastor!”
Until next time, May God Bless You

Hello to all! I have decided to start a blog for the whole world to see. (kind of scary when you say it like that) Therefore I must warn readers that I’m not a polished writer nor am I an English professor. What I am is an Accountant, and more importantly a Pastor of a Baptist church, who loves the Lord. And it is through this blog that I hope to be a blessing to many, not with help with the IRS and your taxes, but with spiritual help found solely in the True Word of God.
Like I said before I’m a pastor of a Baptist church, that church is an Independent, Fundamental, Missionary minded, KJV only church. It is in that mind that I will attempt with the help God to share my many thoughts and convictions.
Until Next Time!!
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Greg
